Usually, people are turned off by people who seem to be proud and boastful. This is the initial reaction of the ordinary carnal people. BOASTING also means GLORYING. And, there are many verses in the Bible that teach and even command each one of us to be boastful! In other words, there are 2 KINDS OF BOASTING: the BAD and the GOOD. How do we distinguish the Bad from the Good? In this unique article I will explain to you the RIGHT and WRONG kinds of Boasting. Identify them and know how to properly judge boastful people! Better still, we must know when and where to avoid the Bad Boasting and apply the Good Boasting.

IT IS NOT WRONG FOR YOU TO BOAST OR TO GLORY; IF YOU BOAST IN THE LORD GOD!
There are several Bible Scriptures commanding each one of us to BE BOASTFUL (Jeremiah 9:24, Psalms 105:3, 34:2, 1Corinthians 1:31, 2Corinthians 10:17, 11:10). And obedience to these commands to be boastful makes a person appear to be praising himself! It seems that there is a contradiction between these verses and Proverbs 27:2.
If a person does not really understand the RIGHT WAY and the WRONG WAY of Boasting, he/she does not know God the Father and Christ! And he/she can be easily deceived (Colossians 2:8).
- Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, AFTER THE TRADITION OF MEN, after the rudiments of the world, and NOT AFTER CHRIST. (Col 2:8 KJV)
not after Christ — “Their” boasted higher “philosophy” is but human tradition, and a cleaving to the carnal and worldly, and not to Christ. Though acknowledging Christ nominally, in spirit they by their doctrine deny Him. -- JFB
The IGNORANCE of the True meaning and applications of the concepts of Godly Boasting caused People, Churches, Religions, and Nations to reject and despise the True (Good) Boastings of God's True Servants. This is how and why God's True Prophets and Servants were persecuted, including Christ who was even crucified (1Corinthians 2:6-8, Luke 23:34)!
Thus, people are easily misled, making them admire the False (Bad) "VOLUNTARY HUMILITY," as well as, the VAIN BOASTING of carnal Men (Colossians 2:18).
UNDERSTAND THE BAD & GOOD BOASTING, AS WELL AS, THE BAD & GOOD HUMILITY!
Allow me (with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) to make plain the rough understanding of people about this misunderstood subject of BOASTING or GLORYING.
The secret key ID (Identification) of True Boasting and Humility is that of MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM => The connection to Christ, who is the HEAD of the Church. If the Boasting, Humility, or GOSPEL Preaching of a Person, Pastor, Priest, Rabbi, Evangelist, or Church does not hold on to, or is not connected to Christ, then they are all FALSE, BAD, and DECEPTIVE(Colossians 2:19, 2Corinthians 10:16).
- And NOT HOLDING THE HEAD (Christ), from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. (Col 2:19 KJV)
- To preach the [MESSIANIC KABBALAH] GOSPEL…and NOT TO BOAST in another man's line of things made ready to our hand. (2Cor 10:16 KJV)
Most people, especially Filipinos, describe a person that seems to be proud and boastful, saying, "Nagbubuhat ng sariling bangko." One Bible verse (Proverbs 27:2) makes this adage Biblical.
- Let another praise you, and not your own mouth--a stranger, and not your own lips. (Pro 27:2)
The BIG difference between GOOD BOASTING and BAD BOASTING is that, if you are boasting for humanistic achievements of yourself, or that of other people, without the True Knowledge and involvement of The Great LORD God, then your boasting is not good (1Corinthians 5:6, 2Corinthians 10:16,18, Jeremiah 9:23).
- …NOT TO BOAST in another man's line of things made ready to our hand. (2Cor 10:16 KJV)
- This is what the LORD says: The (wordly) WISE must not boast in his (worldly) WISDOM; the MIGHTY must not boast in his MIGHT; the RICH must not boast in his RICHES. (Jer 9:23)
- Your boasting is NOT GOOD. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? (1Cor 5:6 MKJV)
- For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one The Lord commends. (2Cor 10:18)
But, if you have the FULL Knowledge and Understanding of God the Father, even knowing Him and Christ in an intimate face-to-face manner, then you have to Boast or Glory for this wonderful gift (Jeremiah 9:24)!
- The one who boasts SHOULD BOAST in this, that HE UNDERSTANDS AND KNOWS ME -- that I am the LORD, showing Faithful Love, Justice, and Righteousness on the Earth, for I delight in these things. This is the LORD's declaration. (Jer 9:24)

THE OPPOSITE OF BOASTING SOMETHING IS THAT OF BEING ASHAMED OF SOMETHING!
This means that the Boasting in the True Knowledge of God and in His Everlasting Gospel are NOT TO BE ASHAMED OF (2Cor 10:8, Romans 1:16, Mark 8:38)!

- Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of My Words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the Glory of his Father with the holy angels. (Mar 8:38 KJV)
- For I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE [MESSIANIC KABBALAH] GOSPEL OF CHRIST: for it is the Power of God unto Salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Rom 1:16 KJV)
