The DEFINITION OF "SLEEP" IN THE BIBLE, ACCORDING TO CHRIST HIMSELF
In the Bible, as well as, in Kabbalah, DEATH is considered a kind of "SLEEP."
- He told them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I'm on My way to wake him up." (John 11:11)
- Then the disciples said to Him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well." (Joh 11:12)
- Jesus, however, was speaking about his death, but they thought He was speaking about natural sleep. (Joh 11:13)
- So Jesus then told them plainly, "Lazarus has died. (Joh 11:14)
The Distancing of God or Christ is also called "SLEEP." The nature of this sleep is that God is not acting to assist us in a clear manner. Because of man's many sins we cause the Face of God to be concealed, which means that God the Father placed Christ in the "SLEEP MODE." And God's People are then put into exile.
